It's been a day

Today is one of those days that I am so glad that Adam is home. Early this morning Emilee decided to crawl into bed with us, no big deal. A few minutes later you start to hear her cough, and then came the gagging sound. I'm not one who is good with vomit, I will usually be the one who joins in because of the smell. This time smelled horrible, luckily Adam ran to the bathroom with Emilee, while I stripped the bed. After cleaning up the bed, and cleaning Emilee it was pointless to go to bed, so we started our day. Adam has been building a bookshelf, and while cutting the wood he broke the saw blade. Once again, no big deal we went to Home Depot to buy some replacement blades, and picked up some lunch. After lunch Adam went to work on the bookcase again, and I went to make us a treat. I reminded Adam to be careful and not cut himself, well I should of known better and warned myself. I needed to open a package and decided to open it with a knife, which is normal for me. There is a reason my family doesn't let me use knives, I was watching Adam and Emilee, then I felt it. It was that horrible feeling you get when you cut yourself, it's hard to describe. I instantly grabbed my finger and stuck it in my mouth, that for some reason is what I always do first when I cut my finger. Then I fell on the floor in pain, I don't know why. Adam told me to get up so he could look at it, then decided upon seeing the cut I needed to see a Dr. We threw Emilee in the car with no shoes and raced to Urgent Care, they were busy so we waited awhile and then decided to go to the E.R. They were able to see me pretty quickly, and they were all so nice. Adam called Annie who came and picked up Emilee to watch her. Thank You Annie and Drew, for taking time out of your day to help us. I had the option of getting stitches or having them use sterile strips. I went with the strips, no needles involved. They bandaged up my finger and told me how to take care of it. It was a crazy day, I am so thankful Adam was home and can handle these situations.
